Jeff Bezos has a decorated career. Here's how we fit his accomplishments into a two-page resume.

Not all founders and CEOs become household names — often they work quietly behind the scenes. But not Jeff Bezos.

Whether he likes it or not, Bezos is everywhere these days. A quick Google news search will prove just that. Bezos is the founder and CEO of Amazon, one of the largest tech companies in the world. There are more than 142 million Prime members alone, according to MarketWatch. And, depending on the day, he is the richest person in the world. (The rankings flip between Bezos and Elon Musk.)

So how did he get here?

Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and he's always been an overachiever. As a teen, he worked one summer at McDonald's. The next summer, he stepped up and became an entrepreneur. He and his girlfriend developed The Dream Institute, a camp for children that cost $600. They had six attendees.

Bezos went on to graduate summa cum laude from Princeton University (with a 4.2 GPA!) armed with degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. He served as the Head of Development and Director of Customer Service at Fitel, a telecommunications startup, before becoming the Product Manager at Bankers Trust. From there, he joined D.E. Shaw & Co. and was named Senior Vice President. At 30, he was the youngest SVP in the investment bank's history. It was in this role that Bezos began to understand the untapped potential of the internet. In 1994, he quit his job and drove to Seattle.

At that time, Amazon was already in the works. His parents had invested $300,000 in the online bookstore, and according to Britannica, the first book was sold in 1995. By 1997, Amazon had generated $54 million in funding. In 1998, Bezos added CDs and videos to his online stock, and in 1999, he added auctions. By 2005, Amazon began to resemble what it is today, offering up all kinds of products and services.

And that's not even half of it. While building up Amazon, Bezos also launched Bezos Expeditions, a high-profile venture capital vehicle. He also purchased The Washington Post in 2013, launched a global nonprofit in 2000, and founded Blue Origin (think: Bezos' version of Musk's Space X).

The list of notable experiences and accomplishments goes on.

With all that he's done throughout his career, what would Bezos' resume look like? We posed this question to one of our expert resume writers, and they flexed their skills to fit Bezos' experiences and accomplishments into a clean and concise two-page resume.

How? Because Bezos' career spans decades, they focused on the big hitters — no need to dive into the nitty-gritty details of his time at Fitel, for instance. The resume starts with a concise resume summary and highlights key quotes. This helps a prospective employer better understand Bezos' vision and drive. From there, we dive into his career experience, taking care to highlight only the most notable and impactful projects, investments, and milestones.
